Potluck & Discussion.
UPDATE: As we shift towards serving farmers in the Boulder County area with farm transition plans, we will now just be hosting equinox and solstice celebrations with a few content and collaboration driven forum events in between. Moving away from monthly forums into this new adapted structure allows us to stay tuned into the community and be able to meet the need of our new commitments and growth in the farm planning realm. We appreciate those of you who have attended our past monthly events and look forward to seeing you at the next ones.
The Community Forum is a time to gather, eat and discuss issues in agriculture. The purpose of the forum is to build community, discover inter-generational wisdom and support one another in building a healthy and vibrant food system. The forum is NOT about seeking answers and making judgments, but rather sharing, learning, and opening our hearts and minds to all possibilities and potential. The forum continues the tradition of the grange, a place where a wide diversity of farmers and community members can gather to discuss and enact good service, policy and practice.
All forums are from 6-9pm @ Altona Grange, Longmont, Colorado. We eat potluck-style from 6 - 7:15 pm, 7:15 - 730 community announcements, and then discussion runs from 7:30 - 9 pm (or beyond). The forum is an open canvas for people, farms and organizations throughout the Front Range to bring issues to the community circle.
Even if you don’t have time or the resources to share something for potluck, please still come! We also invite you to bring your own utensils, plate and bowl in order to reduce the waste we generate. Disposable items will be provided either way.
