Forum #3 - Carbon Farming: The Economics!

Carbon Farming: The Economics!
Bring some food, meet old and new friends, enjoy the fellowship and discussion. Childcare is provided. This event is OPEN TO ALL!

Carbon is the engine of soil fertility and central to soil health. Carbon farming refers to practices that enhance the carbon content of soil to produce healthy food. If building healthy soils were lucrative, every farmer would be doing it. Yet, most arable soils been severely degraded by mismanagement in service to the modern industrial food system.

Is it possible to build healthier soils and make more money at the same time? We will discuss bottom-up and top-down mechanisms to enhance the economic viability of carbon farming. We will inevitably talk about the need to reform the idea of economy itself.
